About Me

My name is Adam Dart, and I am the owner and founder of DART Fitness Sprint Coach. With over 30 years of experience in sport and athletics, both as an athlete and coach, I understand that speed is one of the most critical components for success in many sports.

Track and field sprinters rely on speed to achieve peak performance. In team sports such as AFL, rugby, and soccer, explosive speed also provides a major advantage and helping players reach the ball faster, create space, and perform at their best.

My Goal

As a Gold Coast Sprint Coach, my mission is to help athletes improve their speed and performance. A faster player can reach the ball or a key position on the field more quickly than their opponents, leading to more possessions, effective tackles, and better decision-making. Increased speed also reduces pressure, enhances accuracy, and improves endurance by conserving energy which is all covered during each Gold Coast sprint training session.

My Sprinting Journey

How I Got Here

From a young age, I was a competitive athlete and sprinter. Looking back, I wish I had undergone specific speed training earlier. It would have significantly enhanced my running speed, leg strength, and power. Combined with proper technique training, these elements could have helped me maximise my potential.

In 2000, I committed fully to my sprinting career, training six days a week. I focused on acceleration, explosive starts, speed endurance, and refining my stride and drive phases. In 2006 I won the Griffith University Gold Coast 120 m Gift, proving that hard work and dedication pay off.
